Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act
of 1996 (HIPAA) and VA privacy regulations do not

visit a

our Dallas
or Bonham
facilities,

available 24
hours, 7
days a week
and on
holidays to
answer
medical
advice
questions.
This service
is provided
to increase
veteran
access to
healthcare
advice and
education
and to help
the patient
avoid
unnecessary
hospital or
clinic
visits.
During
regular
business
hours of
8:00 am to
4:30 pm,
Monday
through
Friday,
Telecare is
also able to
assist in
making
changes to
primary care
clinic
appointments.
