Dallas VA Fisher House
takes shape as construction progresses |
Safe comfortable housing
will soon be available for families of veterans
receiving health care at VA North Texas Health Care
System, Dallas. Construction of a Fisher House,
similar to Ronald McDonald House accommodations,
will provide “a home away from home” at Dallas VA
Medical Center-free temporary lodging for families
of VA patients. Construction of the Fisher House on
the campus at Dallas VA Medical Center is underway
and the projected completion date is September 2008.
The Fisher House will include a 21-suite 2 story
house, complete with a common kitchen, laundry
facilities, spacious dining room, living room,
library, picnic pavilion and toys for children. An
elevator will provide access to the second floor.
