Research


Our mission is to improve the health of our veterans by fostering the design, performance, analysis, and publication of results from research in multiple disciplines.


Our research and development program enhances our ability to provide state-of-the-art medical techniques and treatments to veterans.


About the Program


The VANTHCS has a large research and development program with 36,052 sq ft of laboratory space, 13,400 sq ft for conducting animal research, and a clinical research unit (CRU), which consists of 6,000 sq ft space for conducting clinical trials.


Research at VANTHCS includes studies in:


biomedical research, health services, rehabilitation, clinical and cooperative studies


VANTHCS was the first VA research program to receive full renewal accreditation status from National Council of Quality Assurance (NCQA) and has recently undergone a site visit from Association for Accreditation for Human Research Protection Program (AAHRPP)
